Almost There!!!

So for the most part, I've finished up my major packing using those huge zip lock bags to punch all my crap into. I've still got some little things to get, but I'm basically ready to go!

It's been a really fun break, too, getting ready and all. Bittersweet, if you will...

I'm not at all good with goodbyes, but for some reason, I'm content with how I'm leaving the states. I'm making all efforts to stay "attached" till I leave, but for some reason I'm just ready to get out of here! I love my family and I love my friends, but I mean, it's not goodbye forever, so I plan on having a hell of a time in between.

I'm mostly getting pumped for my internship. I'm working in a theatre called "The New End," which sounds all snotty and uptight (I love it) and I'll be living in a flat in a part of London once described to me as 'posh'... so it'll be expensive, but worth every cent, I think.

The past two and half weeks have been crazy fun. I've seen or heard from most everyone I've been dying to talk to and the holidays are over now, but looking back, I really couldn't have asked for a better informal send off. 2010's going to be a great year... Now to take some pointers from a friend of mine, Here are some highlights from the past week:

1. Hung out with Allison, my sis, and we rented some movies and relaxed. She also had some family over her house on New Year's Day, which was only semi-boring... just kidding. It was fun. Great food.
2. Met up w/ Case aka top5 this past Saturday in Castleton for wings and beer... wings on my end cuz he's a lamo vegetarian. It was really nice to catch up.
3. Movie night (possibly the last one ever) at Kimille's house this past Monday where we watched "Shakespeare Retold: MacBeth" w/ James McAvoy, "Les Chanson d'Amour" w/ Louis Garrel -- who I will be looking for in Paris. I don't care how creepy that is. I love him--, "Rebel Without A Cause" w/ James Dean, and some other movies that I fell asleep on, like always... it was a night to remember for sure. haha.
4. Hung out w/ Jessica aka Ride and/or Die 2040 aka YMCA summa' camp clown aka last legit connection to the Cinema Grill aka 86th st. Grillaz... golden days of high school-- long story. not really....
5. Got my grades back. Dean's list. no big deal.

That pretty much sums up what's going on with me in Indy, but as always, I'm still very much anticipating the upcoming semsester. I'll have some photos and videos up probably once I reach my destination.

Thanks for reading and I hope all is well with you!

All Best,
LC
